Welcome to the Vintage Conklin page for PenQuest.com. If you see something you like or have questions, please let me know by clicking on the "ask/buy" to the left of each pen. Unless stated otherwise, pens are in working condition but do not include original boxes. Prices do not include shipping. If you don't know me, you might want to look over my feedback on ebay as kim-s. Website has no connection to any writing instruments named "Penquest."

To order, email me by clicking on the email icon to the left. Sorry, no credit cards directly. I prefer Paypal, but will work out other arrangements occasionally. I will ship almost anywhere, but only US dollar payments accepted.

NOTE THESE POINTS: I've attempted to show the flex, but keep in mind that this depends on how hard the writer presses. I do NOT press hard, so those shown are quite flexible based on just a little pressure. Sorry that I didn't have better quality graph paper! Graph paper is 5 squares/inch.

$595 Conklin Crescent GF Overlay Vines and Flowers
This is a wonderful Conklin Crescent with an engraved GF overlay of vines and flowers in the #3 size. Conklin Toledo nib in fine is probably a later replacement, which is common. This is an older crescent with threaded cap. The indicia is on the cap, and says "Carabelle 1916" which places the date of the pen! No brassing or dings. There are a few light scratches and a tiny gouge in the edge of the metal barrel where the section slips in. Amazing to find a pen this old in this condition!

$875 Two uncommon slip cap Conklins: #316 straight cap and #5 filigree
The #316 Conklin crescent is SOLD
Thye #5 gold-filled slip cap filigree with the three leaves pattern is also gorgeous! Has the #5 Conklin nib in semi-flex. Under magnification I can see a tiny line of brassing on the edge of the filigree next to the section, but this is an uncommonly clean pen. No engraving on the indicia.

$490(artdeco) $560(figure8) Two clipless Conklin Crescents
The top pen is the Conklin crescent in the art deco pattern in the #2 size, with a #2 Conklin nib in medium (on the fine side of medium). Beautiful rare pattern; I only see one flaw and that is a tiny rim of brassing around the end of the cap. The indicia on the cap is engraved "Major J.P. Byrom."
The bottom pen in the photo is a large figure eight design filigree in the #3 size. Excellent plus condition. I see a tiny rim of brassing around the top of the cap and a small crease in the cap dome. This pen is not engraved. I would call the nib XF and very flexible.

$560 each Two #3 Conklin Filigree pens
Two marvelous Conklin crescents in #3 size with #3 Conklin nibs. These are the four leaf clover (top) and large figure 8 (not sure what Conklin called this one). Both are excellent plus with no flaws at all. The four leaf clover pen no engraving on the cap indicia, and has a fine flexible nib. The figure 8 has lovely script initials (EVB) on the cap indicia, and has a XF semiflex nib

$300 Nozac Faceted Black 5M
This black Nozac is in excellent condition. The shiny deep black reflected from the facets and might not look black in the photo, but it is absolutely black. The only flaw I see is a bit of brassing on the clip. The transparency area of the barrel is a bit ambered, but very transparent. Fully restored piston filler with a Conklin Toledo nib in 14k fine.
